If This Is How I Am To Be Remembered… Volume 1

An anthology rooted in legacy. Particularly, in these times of erasure and disregard, we as Black people can feel the significance of leaving our mark. As artists it can feel like each post is irrelevant and that we simply can’t get to the audience we wish to be able to truly do our work.

This anthology is an opportunity to be seen in a way that will leave us feeling satisfied that if nothing else, we have put this out into the world. If the work you put forth in this anthology is the only one that people ever know, we want that to bring joy. That is what this anthology is meant to represent.

In a sense, a time capsule, but more truly it is ourselves on the page. Whether digitally or physically, the Culture Lab Collective invites you to leave yourself on the pages of our anthology in a way that will make you feel a sense of pride as an artist. Everything from written works to visual arts including paintings, drawings, and photography. We offer a space for artists to be prompted into creating a form of legacy work that CLC hopes to continue in future volumes to come. One of these awesome artists will be selected to design our cover.
